The University Children’s Chorale is the heart of youth choral activities in Clark County.  The only choir with ties to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the Clark County School District and other local education centers, the University Children’s Chorale draws many of the most talented children and instructors in the Las Vegas Valley.

 

The non-profit chorus is divided among two groups, the younger Bel Canto choir comprised of elementary school children and the Youth Chorale populated by middle and high school singers.  Both choirs meet weekly at various locations across the valley and monthly at the Beam Music Hall on the university campus.

 

It is the goal of choir to develop a love of music among its students, opening up the world to its members and its members to the world.  To that end, award winning and passionate instruction is only the beginning.  Performing with other fine arts groups at world renowned locales remains an integral part of the UCC experience.

 

Past performances include a workshop at Juilliard in New York, and participation in the 2006 International Children’s Choir Festival, singing in the historic Canterbury Cathedral in London.  The choir has also performed regularly with the Las Vegas Philharmonic Orchestra.
