Auditions:

 

Although the UCC season runs from the first week of school in late August, until mid-May, UCC does accept students throughout the year. 

Auditions can be scheduled by contacting us at 683-2420, or by e-mail at ucchorale@cox.net  Students must be in second through twelfth grade at the start of the upcoming school year in order to audition for UCC.  Students do not need to prepare for the audition; we will merely assess the student’s vocal abilities and their readiness for reading music.  An audition fee of $50 is collected at the time of audition, which amount will be applied towards the $325 yearly tuition upon acceptance to the Chorale. 

Students may also audition at one of our choral camps. The audition fee is waived for those who audition during choral camp.

Although we do audition students throughout the year, it is in the best interests of students and UCC alike if auditions do occur prior to August.  In this way we can ensure that we have enough materials for every chorister when rehearsals begin.

Mini-camp  May 16-17 at Beam Music Center, UNLV Campus

 

Henderson camp June 9-13*

 

Summerlin camp June 16-20*

 

Although week long choral camps were planned for the summer of 2008, both of our sites were lost due to looming budget cuts.  We regret that we were unable to secure alternate locations for the camps.  Refunds of camp tuition are in the mail, if you have not already received one. 

We are currently working on a mini-camp for September 5-6.  Additional information, including registration, will be posted when details are finalized.
