Auditions:
Although the UCC season runs from the first
week of school in late August, until mid-May, UCC does accept
students throughout the year.
Auditions can be scheduled by contacting us
at 683-2420, or by e-mail at
ucchorale@cox.net Students must be in second through
twelfth grade at the start of the upcoming school year in order
to audition for UCC. Students do not need to prepare for the
audition; we will merely assess the student’s vocal abilities
and their readiness for reading music. An audition fee of $50
is collected at the time of audition, which amount will be
applied towards the $325 yearly tuition upon acceptance to the
Chorale.
Students may also audition at one of our
choral camps. The audition fee is waived for those who audition
during choral camp.
Although we do audition students throughout
the year, it is in the best interests of students and UCC alike
if auditions do occur prior to August. In this way we can
ensure that we have enough materials for every chorister when
rehearsals begin.
2009 Choir Camp
Friday, May 8th 6:00-8:00 p.m.
and Saturday, May 9th 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Beam Music Center, UNLV campus
Camp fee: $25.00
Students will attend a UCC performance to
see what the “finished product” looks like and participate in
UCC rehearsals and activities to help them see how we
operate. Auditions for the 2009-2010 chorale will be held on
Saturday, May 9th for any interested students.
